Communities We Serve
The word houma means “red”, which is derived from the Houma Indians that the city was named after. What was once described as the “little oil and fishing village” is now one of the top producing cities in Louisiana for crude oil, natural gas and the seafood industry.
Bio Pro Mold Inspections & Testing is proud of our membership in the Houma-Terrebonne Chamber of Commerce. Our business is promoted by the Houma Chamber along with all the other members in the city of Houma. The Houma Chamber enhances our relationships not only with Houma businesses, but with all sectors of the Houma community.
The city was originally named Thibodeauxville, after the early settler Henry Thibodaux who was the fourth governor of Louisiana. The name was changed to Thibodeaux in 1838 until 1918 when the official spelling was changed to Thibodaux.
Bio Pro is a proud member of the Thibodaux Chamber of Commerce as well as the Houma-Thibodaux Apartment Association. We are committed to serving the residents and property managers of Thibodaux and Houma to create healthier indoor environments.
The town was originally named “Tiger Island” due to a particular type of wild cat found in the city. The name was later changed to “Brashear City”, named after Kentucky physician Walter Brashear, who had purchased large amounts of land and sugar mills in the city. In 1876, it was renamed Morgan City in tribute to Charles Morgan, who was the first to dredge the Atchafalaya Bay Ship Channel.
Bio Pro is a proud member of the Bayou Board of Realtors in which it works with realtors in Houma, Thibodaux and Morgan City. Although we serve both residential and commercial properties, we work diligently to help realtors inspect and test their properties for mold to create a healthier indoor environment.
The largest metropolitan area in Louisiana, New Orleans is world-famous for its cuisine, music (particularly as the birthplace of jazz) and its annual celebrations and festivals. It is often referred to as the “most unique” city and is one of the top ten most-visited cities in the United States.
Due to New Orleans’ climate, geography and natural disasters such as Hurricane Katrina, mold has been a persistent issue for both residents and businesses. If you believe that your property may have mold, contact Bio Pro for mold inspection and testing. We are detailed in our work and will provide suggestions for how to move forward to create a healthier environment for your home or business.
Baton Rouge is French for “red stick” and is named after an Indian boundary marker that was discovered by the city’s early French settlers. The city is now the state’s capital, the second largest city of Louisiana and home to the LSU Tigers.
The Mississippi River runs right along the state’s capital and has subjected parts of the city to flooding. Along with water damage, flooding can cause problems later on by creating an environment for mold to grow. For an indoor environment, mold can cause further property damage and even health problems. If you believe you are experiencing symptoms of mold in your home or business, contact Bio Pro for an accurate and detailed mold inspection and testing of your indoor environment.
